Handcrafted pansy shell jewellery, all made with love in our Studio in the Garden Route. The pansy shell is an icon for Plettenberg Bay in South Africa and a Protected species under the Biodiversity Act, 2004 (Act 10 of 2004).

Though they are called ‘shells’, it is actually the skeleton of a sea urchin! The name “pansy shell” comes from the 5 petal flower pattern on the top of the skeleton.
